Unique Protest in Haripur: PTI leaders ride horse carts against fuel price hike

HARIPUR -UNS: In a distinctive and symbolic protest held in Haripur, prominent political figures including Omar Ayub Khan, Yousaf Ayub Khan, Arshad Ayub Khan, and Akbar Ayub Khan staged a protest against the recent increase in petroleum prices.

The leaders parked their vehicles and chose to ride traditional horse carts (tangas) as a gesture of solidarity with the public facing rising fuel costs. This unconventional demonstration drew significant attention and was described as a unique form of  (protest) across Pakistan.

Supporters praised the “Ayub brothers” for what they called a major symbolic sacrifice for the people of Haripur, highlighting the economic pressure caused by increasing fuel prices. The protest aimed to send a strong message to authorities about the need for relief measures.

The unusual method of protest quickly gained traction on social and traditional media, with many calling it one of the most creative demonstrations seen in recent times.

Observers noted that such symbolic actions could increase public pressure regarding fuel pricing policies.
