HARIPUR -UNS: In a distinctive and symbolic protest held in Haripur, prominent political figures including Omar Ayub Khan, Yousaf Ayub Khan, Arshad Ayub Khan, and Akbar Ayub Khan staged a protest against the recent increase in petroleum prices.
The leaders parked their vehicles and chose to ride traditional horse carts (tangas) as a gesture of solidarity with the public facing rising fuel costs. This unconventional demonstration drew significant attention and was described as a unique form of (protest) across Pakistan.
Supporters praised the “Ayub brothers” for what they called a major symbolic sacrifice for the people of Haripur, highlighting the economic pressure caused by increasing fuel prices. The protest aimed to send a strong message to authorities about the need for relief measures.
