JD Vance Commends Pakistan’s Contribution to Middle East Peace Efforts

BURGENSTOCK -UNS : US Vice President JD Vance has praised Pakistan’s role in promoting peace in the Middle East, describing the country’s efforts as widely recognized and appreciated internationally.

Speaking at a gathering focused on regional stability, Vance emphasized that achieving peace in the Middle East remains one of Washington’s highest priorities. He added that the United States hopes Iran will also play a constructive role in supporting regional peace and security.b

The US vice president commended Pakistan’s leadership, particularly Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Vance described Asim Munir as an outstanding military leader whose contributions have helped advance peace initiatives.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the current global situation offers an important opportunity to strengthen international peace and cooperation. He noted that world leaders had come together with a common goal of promoting stability and harmony.

Sharif credited the progress in peace negotiations to the leadership of Donald Trump and also acknowledged Field Marshal Asim Munir’s significant role in supporting the process.

Expressing optimism about the future, the prime minister said collective international efforts could help foster greater unity, peace, and stability across the world.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Qatar also praised Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir, describing the ongoing peace initiative as being in its early stages. He stressed that continued cooperation is essential for building a more secure and prosperous future for the region.

According to him, the latest developments are of great significance not only for the Middle East but also for global peace and security.
