ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his official visit to Saudi Arabia, reaffirming the deep-rooted and historic relationship between the two countries.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the premier expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia amid recent regional tensions and lauded the Kingdom’s leadership for demonstrating patience and restraint in the Middle East situation under the Crown Prince.
The meeting focused on the evolving regional landscape, bilateral relations, and avenues for enhancing investment and economic cooperation. Both sides resolved to further strengthen ties across multiple sectors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also briefed the Saudi leadership on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
The premier was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other senior officials.
In a statement shared on social media, Ishaq Dar described the meeting as one marked by “warmth, brotherhood, and a shared vision” for stronger Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations. He emphasized that the longstanding partnership between the two nations is built on faith, trust, and mutual respect, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening this relationship.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia as part of a multi-country tour, which will also include visits to Qatar and Turkey. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.
