ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to establish its first-ever comprehensive service centre where citizens will be able to access services provided by the Ministry of Interior and its affiliated departments under one roof.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the under-construction service centre in Islamabad’s F-6 sector and reviewed the ongoing construction work in detail.
The centre will provide a range of public services, including licences, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), visas, identity cards and passports, along with other services administered by the Ministry of Interior.
Naqvi directed the relevant authorities to complete the project within the shortest possible time and ensure that the centre becomes fully operational as soon as possible.
The facility will feature a modern public dealing hall, dedicated service counters and a spacious waiting area to provide citizens with fast, convenient and dignified government services at a single location.
“The purpose of establishing the service centre is to provide citizens with quick, easy and dignified government services under one roof,” Naqvi said.
He added that modern, integrated and citizen-friendly service delivery remains a top priority of the government.
Describing the F-6 facility as a model project, the interior minister said similar service centres would soon be established in other cities to facilitate the public.
Naqvi was also given a detailed briefing on the project and its construction progress.
The Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and senior officials from relevant departments were also present during the visit.
