ISLAMABAD – UNS : The Department of Archaeology and Museums (DoAM), Islamabad, in collaboration with the China Culture Centre, organized a special cake-cutting ceremony to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, celebrating the spirit of independence and reaffirming the importance of Pakistan-China cultural and people-to-people ties.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the China Culture Centre, including Bai Jie and Daud Chen, as well as Ms. Maria, Chinese Sales Manager at Mövenpick. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, Deputy Director, and Muhammad Azeem, Archaeological Engineer, from the Department of Archaeology and Museums, also participated in the ceremony, along with renowned columnist and Media, Communications and Public Diplomacy Advisor T.M. Awan and participants of the Experimental Chinese Language and Chinese Culture Course.
Speaking on the occasion, participants extended their warm felicitations to the Pakistani nation on the 79th Independence Day and highlighted the significance of promoting cultural exchanges, language learning and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and China.
The participants expressed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding Pakistan-China friendship through cultural diplomacy, language learning and greater people-to-people engagement.
The ceremony concluded with prayers and good wishes for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, progress and continued development, as well as for further strengthening the enduring bonds of friendship between Pakistan and China.
