Artificial Intelligence is the defining “technology” of this era. It can now read heart signals and decode brainwaves. For Pakistan, the real question is: *Will AI become a tool for educational revival, or another weapon of intellectual decay?*
AI is a powerful source to advance our education system. But as a Pakistani, I believe we have a pattern: we take everything to “excessive use” and convert it into “abuse.”
Part 1: The Uses – How AI Suits Our Education System
Our system has 3 fatal flaws: a shortage of teachers, a culture of rote learning, and no individual attention for students. AI directly addresses all three.
*Use #1: A Personal Tutor for Every Student*
In a public school, one teacher manages 60 children. The result is a classroom where no one truly learns. AI can be a 24/7 “Personal Tutor.” A student weak in Mathematics can ask AI to explain a concept 50 different ways. A gifted student can be given advanced, university-level problems instantly. This fulfills the Quranic command for real understanding: _”They have hearts with which they do not understand.”_ Al-A’raf: 179.
*Use #2: Moving Beyond Rote to Research*
We force children to memorize “Darwin’s monkey” and “Newton’s apple” without context. AI changes this. A student can ask: “Explain gravity through the lens of the Quran” or “Simulate this physics experiment for me.” AI responds with stories, 3D models, and interactive lessons. Education shifts from collecting “data” to developing “wisdom.”
*Use #3: Liberating the Teacher*
Our teachers spend much of their time grading papers and preparing lectures. AI can do this in minutes. That frees the teacher to build character, strengthen a student’s “spiritual frequency,” and mentor him. Rest assured *”a machine can write code, but it cannot build the intuition of Hazrat Umar (RA)”*
*Part 2: The Abuses – How We Are Misusing It*
*Abuse #1: AI as a Cheating Engine*
The most common abuse is intellectual theft. Students are not using AI to “think.” They are using ChatGPT to write their entire essays, assignments, and even theses. We have turned AI from a “thinking tool” into a “thought-stealing tool.” This is the “self-destruction button”. if you stop thinking for yourself, your own mind decays.
*Abuse #2: The TikTok Mentality*
AI’s core purpose is “Learning.” But our youth uses it for “fake AI images,” “AI girlfriends,” and viral memes. The mind that should have been a “transmitter” of knowledge has become a “dustbin” of trends. We have ignored Tesla’s idea of “thought photography” and are consumed by Reels.
*Abuse #3: Technology Without Intention*
The Prophet PBUH said: _”Actions are only by intentions.” In physics: Intention = Frequency. Action = Matter.
The West is developing Neuralink to read and potentially alter thoughts. This is the ultimate “Dajjali weapon.” If we introduce AI in schools without teaching ethics and intention, we are raising a generation that will allow its own mind to be hacked. Hence
*The Mirror is in Our Hands*
AI is not good or evil by itself. Electricity can run a hospital or cause death.
If Pakistan is to use AI correctly, we need 3 non-negotiable rules:
1. *Purpose*: AI must be an “Understanding Machine,” not a “Rote Machine.”
2. *Ethics*: Teach students: Use AI for help, but the thinking must be your own. Cheating is haram.
3. *The Teacher*: AI will never replace the teacher. We must train teachers to be the “masters of AI.”
Otherwise, a nation that loses its “spiritual frequency” will inevitably fall into “digital slavery.” AI is a mirror. It will reflect only what we choose to put into it.
