Saudi Arabia on High Alert as Missile and Drone Attacks Injure 13 Civilians

Riyadh UNS: Saudi Arabia remained on heightened security alert overnight following a series of missile and drone attacks targeting several areas of the Kingdom, according to Saudi media reports.

The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen said 13 civilians were injured and seven residential properties and two vehicles were damaged after projectiles and interception debris fell in Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif.

Saudi Civil Defence also activated warning sirens in Jeddah, Yanbu, Jazan and Al-Ula, urging residents to remain vigilant and follow official safety instructions.

The attacks represent a significant escalation in the pattern of cross-border threats facing the Kingdom. The reported combination of ballistic missiles and drones appears designed to place additional pressure on air-defence systems and complicate interception efforts.

However, claims concerning the intended targets, the precise launch locations and the operational objectives of the attacks could not be independently verified.

The Coalition said it would take measures against the sources of fire and launch sites in Yemen, while stressing that the protection of civilians remained a priority.

Saudi authorities have urged residents to rely on official channels for information, avoid approaching debris from intercepted projectiles and comply with emergency instructions.

Summary

Confirmed: 13 civilians were injured; seven homes and two vehicles were damaged in Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif, according to the Coalition. Warning sirens were activated in several Saudi locations.

Assessment: The simultaneous use of missiles and drones indicates a potentially broader escalation intended to test or overwhelm Saudi air-defence capabilities.

Unverified: Specific targeting objectives, launch sites and claims regarding the operational coordination of the attacks require independent confirmation.
