PM Kakar to attend UNGA session on Sept.22

ISLAMABAD -UNS: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar departed for the US on five-day visit on Sunday to participate in the United Nations General Assembly session.

The PM will participate in the high-level debate of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York from Sept 18 to 23. He will also address the United Nations General Assembly session on Sept 22.

Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani will also accompany the PM.

According to reports, the PM is likely to meet important countries heads including China, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

The PM will leave for America in a special plane today afternoon. Apart from the UNGA meeting, he will also participate in an important conference on climate change.

During his visit, PM Kakar will meet the representatives of the international media. He will also visit the prominent think tanks of the United States.
