RIYADH -UNS: The Saudi-led Coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government has announced the destruction of a launch platform used by Houthi forces to fire a ballistic missile towards the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said the launch platform had been destroyed following the interception and destruction of the missile earlier on Tuesday.
The Coalition said the operation formed part of its ongoing efforts to counter missile threats targeting Saudi Arabia.
The announcement comes amid continuing regional tensions involving Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi movement.
