ISLAMABAD – UNS-: Member of the National Assembly Naveed Amir Jeeva and Advocate Waheed Javed met Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry to discuss a range of issues affecting Islamabad’s Christian communities, with particular focus on residential colonies, civic amenities and other public concerns.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the minister on the challenges faced by Christian residents and urged the government to take effective measures, in coordination with relevant institutions, to ensure sustainable and lawful solutions. They stressed the need for timely action to provide relief to affected families and improve living conditions in Christian localities.
Minister of State Talal Chaudhry listened to the delegation’s concerns and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of all citizens in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
He assured the delegation that the issues raised would be reviewed in consultation with the relevant authorities and that every possible effort would be made to address them through the appropriate legal and administrative channels.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of ensuring equal access to basic civic facilities and resolving longstanding community issues through coordinated government action.
At the conclusion of the meeting, MNA Naveed Amir Jeeva and Advocate Waheed Javed thanked the minister for his positive response and expressed hope that practical progress would soon be made in resolving the problems faced by Islamabad’s Christian communities.
They voiced confidence that continued engagement between the government and community representatives would help achieve lasting solutions.
