TEHRAN-UNS- A high-level Pakistani delegation has arrived in Tehran in connection with efforts to resume negotiations between the United States and Iran. The delegation is being led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Upon arrival in Tehran, the Field Marshal received a warm welcome from Iran’s Foreign Minister.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will hold important diplomatic meetings in Tehran during his visit. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also accompanying him.
According to Arab media, the visit by the Pakistani delegation is being seen as a significant development regarding the restoration of dialogue and reactivation of communication between Iran and the United States. During the visit, the delegation will engage with various stakeholders to help reduce tensions and move the negotiation process forward.
This visit comes at a time when efforts are underway to restart talks between the two countries. Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that messages are being exchanged with the United States through Pakistan.
According to Iranian media, the next round of negotiations is expected to be hosted in Islamabad in the coming days, raising hopes for further progress in the diplomatic process.
