KABUL-UNS: Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts remain steadfast and undeterred in supporting the Kashmiri
people’s legitimate and principled demand for the right to self-determination—a cornerstone
of our foreign policy. Pakistan continues to stand resolute in its commitment to securing this
fundamental right for Kashmiris.
India’s hegemonic ambitions in South Asia are destined to fail in the face of Pakistan’s rational diplomacy and robust defensive capabilities. These views were expressed by Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani while addressing the Youm-e-Istehsal ceremony observed at Pakistan Embassy Kabul.
Ambassador Nizamani added that India’s illegal actions in Kashmir during the past six years
have laid bare its expansionist and imperialistic mindset. India’s support for its proxy terrorists
and its persistent hostile actions against Pakistan are aimed at breaking our resolve for the
Kashmir cause. However, Pakistani nation and its armed forces stand shoulder to shoulder to
defeat India’s nefarious designs for Kashmir and South Asia.
On this occasion, messages of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz
Sharif and Dy. Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar were also read.
One-minute silence was also observed during the ceremony to express solidarity with the
people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
