Islamabad-UNS: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi today visited the residence of martyred Major Rizwan Tahir in Islamabad. He met the martyr’s father, retired Colonel Muhammad Tahir, and other family members. The Interior Minister expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the martyr’s parents and brother, Major Usman Tahir, and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s rank. He praised the high morale of the martyr’s parents and brother.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said, “You are the brave and high-spirited parents of a martyred son. Your courage and resolve are the strength of the nation. I salute your greatness.”
Mohsin Naqvi further stated that Major Rizwan Tahir bravely fought Indian-sponsored terrorists and embraced martyrdom. “Major Rizwan Tahir is a hero of the nation, and his supreme sacrifice will never go in vain. The nation will always remain indebted to the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs’ families.”
The martyr’s father, retired Colonel Muhammad Tahir, said his son led several intelligence-based operations and sent many terrorists to hell.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa and IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi were also present on the occasion.
It may be noted that Major Rizwan Tahir embraced martyrdom a few days ago in Mastung in an IED blast carried out by Indian-sponsored terrorists.
