UNS: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) hosted a dignified national ceremony to commemorate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The event featured the hoisting of the national flag and a tree plantation drive.
The ceremony was graced by FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, FPCCI Regional Chairman and Vice President Zain Iftikhar Chaudhry, UBG Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer, Brig. (R) Nadir Mir, and FPCCI Vice Presidents Zaki Aijaz and Tariq Mehmood Jadoon.
Addressing the gathering, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh said: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation on this momentous Independence Day. The historic victory in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and the Marka-e-Haq has greatly enhanced the joy of this year’s celebrations. The business community across the country, including FPCCI, deeply acknowledges the immense sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.”
He further remarked that following the remarkable triumph in the Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan’s effective diplomacy under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir not only dismantled India’s false and baseless narrative but also successfully projected Pakistan’s soft image on the global stage. “We salute our armed forces for their valiant victory against our eternal adversary under the visionary leadership of the Field Marshal,” he said.
Mr. Sheikh added that 65% of the country’s population comprises youth under the age of 30, and these young citizens are determined to shape Pakistan’s future. To transform Pakistan into a great nation, he emphasized, investment in youth and women is essential so they can play a more effective role in the country’s development. “If Pakistan exists, we exist — Pakistan is our identity, and our hearts beat with it. On this day, we renew our pledge to make sound decisions that will place our country on the path to sustainable economic progress. True independence can only be achieved by building a strong and resilient economy.”
