Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi have held two telephone conversations within a week, underscoring a renewed commitment to improving bilateral relations. According to diplomatic sources, the discussions focused on regional security, political coordination, and avenues for joint cooperation.
Analysts view the growing closeness between Riyadh and Tehran as a significant shift that could positively reshape the region’s political landscape and contribute to resolving longstanding conflicts.
Pakistan has emerged as a key mediator in this reconciliation process, playing an important role in bringing the two sides closer through a balanced and effective diplomatic approach. Officials indicate that Islamabad’s efforts have been appreciated by both countries.
Additionally, the presence of Pakistani forces in Saudi Arabia is now viewed with confidence by Iran, emphasizing a defensive posture aimed at maintaining stability rather than pursuing aggression.
