PESHAWAR -UNS: Zia Mashwani delivered an outstanding performance by winning the championship belt in the first round at the Infinite Championship held at Hayatabad Sports Complex.
The event featured around 26 athletes, including some of Pakistan’s most prominent fighters. Among them, Zia Mashwani—widely regarded as one of the country’s top and unbeaten athletes—secured a remarkable first-round victory to claim the title.
Last year, an Afghan fighter, Mujtaba Punjaheri, had openly challenged Pakistani fighters during the Brave Championship. The challenge was accepted by Zia Mashwani. However, Mujtaba Punjaheri did not appear for the bout, and instead, another Afghan fighter, Sibghatullah Hakimi, stepped forward to face MashZia Mashwani Wins infinite Championship Belt in First Round at Peshawar Event.
Zia Mashwani welcomed the replacement, and the fight was scheduled in the bantamweight category at the Infinite Championship in Peshawar.
However, during the official weigh-in conducted 24 hours before the fight, Sibghatullah Hakimi failed to meet the required weight limit, exceeding it by approximately 15 kilograms. In contrast, Zia Mashwani successfully made weight, demonstrating professionalism and discipline.
Due to Hakimi’s failure to meet the weight requirements and his unprofessional conduct, the organizers disqualified him from the championship. A replacement fighter was arranged, whom Zia Mashwani defeated convincingly in the first round to secure the championship belt.
The event was attended by a large number of supporters, including family members and friends, who congratulated Zia Mashwani on his historic victory. Notable attendees included Col Iqbal Shah Mashwani, Advocate Sajid Mashwani, Murad Mashwani, Dr Behram, Dr Muhib Mashwani, Haji Hayat Mashwani, Fayaz Mashwani, Wali Mashwani, Inayat Mashwani, Sirajulhaq Mashwani, Noorulhaq Mashwani, along with many others.
The victory marks another milestone in Zia Mashwani’s career, further strengthening his reputation as one of Pakistan’s leading fighters.
