UNS:Three Family Members Killed in Cross-Border Shelling in Bajaur, Security Souces.
Three members of the same family, including two children, were killed in cross-border shelling in the Bajaur region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to security sources.
The incident occurred in Malik Shaheen village in the Katkot border area, where civilian homes were reportedly hit. Three additional individuals were seriously injured in what officials described as unprovoked shelling.
Security sources alleged that elements from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan were attempting to assist militants linked to “Fitna al-Khawarij” in crossing into Pakistan. They said Pakistani security forces acted in time to prevent the infiltration attempt.
Following the failed incursion, sources claimed that shelling targeted civilian areas in Bajaur. In response, Pakistani forces reportedly engaged positions across the border.
The situation along the frontier remains tense as security forces continue to monitor and respond to developments.
