BISHKEK – UNS : Chinese President Xi Jinping, accompanied by First Lady Peng Liyuan, arrived in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to attend the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit and undertake a state visit.
Upon their arrival at Manas International Airport, President Xi and the First Lady were warmly received by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and his wife.
The visit comes as leaders of SCO member states gather for the summit to discuss regional cooperation, economic connectivity, security and other issues of mutual interest.
