Rawalpindi: Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
The high-level meeting underscored the depth of the Pakistan–Kuwait relationship, highlighting that the partnership extends beyond traditional diplomacy to encompass defence cooperation, strategic coordination, and close consultation on regional security challenges.
Held against the backdrop of an increasingly complex regional security environment, the talks focused on enhancing defence and security collaboration, expanding bilateral engagement, and maintaining close coordination to promote peace and stability across the region.
During the meeting, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister praised Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, expressing Kuwait’s appreciation for Islamabad’s consistent support and reaffirming the longstanding fraternal ties that have long united the two countries.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its strategic partnership with Kuwait, emphasizing that both nations share a common vision for regional peace, security, and sustainable prosperity. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to deepen cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
