Saudi Crown Prince Reportedly Moved Between Fortified Palaces Amid Escalating Houthi Attacks

RIYADH -UNS: : Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is reportedly moving between heavily secured palaces equipped with bunkers as Houthi attacks intensify, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal cited by The Independent.

The reported security arrangements come amid heightened concerns over the kingdom’s security following an alleged attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. The report claimed that the incident killed 13 people and injured at least 300, describing it as Saudi Arabia’s deadliest attack in a decade. These casualty figures have not been independently verified here.

The 41-year-old crown prince has reportedly not appeared in public since Tuesday, when he participated in a national blood donation campaign. Citing officials familiar with his movements, The Wall Street Journal reported that he had since been staying at fortified palaces under the protection of a specially selected security team.

The reported measures underscore the heightened security concerns surrounding Saudi Arabia’s leadership amid escalating regional hostilities.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry had not immediately responded to The Independent’s request for comment, according to the report.
