ISLAMABAD -UNS : PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has said the party will consider all available options if the federal government imposes governor’s rule or declares an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Gohar said such measures would further aggravate the situation in the province and vowed that PTI would strongly oppose any move to impose governor’s rule.
He also reiterated that the party’s planned long march would remain peaceful.
However, he clarified that PTI had not yet decided to resign from the National Assembly in the event of governor’s rule being imposed in KP.
He stressed that provincial autonomy was essential for strengthening the federation.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas called on the government to engage in dialogue, questioning why governor’s rule was being considered in KP over terrorism when Balochistan was also facing a serious security situation.
