Muzaffarabad-UNS:Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf Azad Kashmir on Monday, has submitted a constitutional and legal action against the floor crossing to the Speaker, AJK Assembly against the defective members, who have changed the party loyalty by being elected on the PTI ticket. These members include Akmal Sargala, Rafiq Nair, Javed Butt and Ali Shan Soni.
Speaking to media, Vice President of PTI Azad Kashmir, Syed Zeeshan Haider, said that these people have committed treachery from their mandate morally, politically and democratically.
A person who came to the House with votes on a party ticket, has no right to change his loyalties under interest or pressure. If the voice of the conscience was really awakened, he would first resign from the Assembly membership, then would have joined the party whose heart wanted.
He said that there is a regular law against floor crossing in Azad Kashmir, but unfortunately for the past few years, the makrooh tradition like the “Lota Mandi” has been born, which has not only destroyed democratic values but has also severely damaged state dignity and public trust. This series should be closed now.
Syed Zeeshan Haider added that today we have made a practical effort to close this notorious chapter by filing a reference. Now the Speaker Azad Kashmir Assembly is constitutionally bound to send this reference to the Election Commission within the stipulated period, where these members can be declared as de -set or disqualified.
He said in clear words that the recent political history of Pakistan is a witness that those who are unfaithful to Imran Khan, not only fall from the eyes of the people but also suffer from a terrible political end. In Azad Kashmir, the same “loot” will be the same. The people are now conscious, ideological politics, merit and the supremacy of justice is the future of the region.
