YANGZHOU – UNS: Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, visited Yangzhou from April 23–24, 2026, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation in investment, trade, and vocational training across key sectors including agriculture, new energy, and advanced technologies.
During the visit, the ambassador held meetings with local senior city leadership, including Party Secretary Wang Jinjian and Mayor Zheng Haitao. Discussions focused on expanding business-to-business (B2B) ties by leveraging the existing sister-province relationship between Punjab and Jiangsu, alongside proposals for investment roadshows and increased enterprise exchanges.
Ambassador Hashmi also visited FAMSUN, a leading agriculture solutions provider, where he engaged with industry representatives and explored opportunities in agricultural modernization. He praised the company’s advanced Smart Park system and its expanding footprint in Pakistan, encouraging further collaboration in agro-processing, dairy production, and capacity building.
At the China-Pakistan Agricultural Modernization and Food Security Innovation Cooperation Forum held on April 24, the ambassador underscored Pakistan’s commitment to transforming its agriculture sector through mechanization, improved seed development, resilient supply chains, and enhanced vocational training.
He invited Chinese firms to invest in areas such as precision agriculture, cold-chain logistics, digital farming, and dairy industries.
Representatives from Irritech, Zoomlion, and FAMSUN delivered presentations.
