JEDDAH -UNS: Pakistan’s Consul General in Jeddah, Mustafa Rabbani, visited several hospitals in Saudi Arabia’s Jazan Region on Wednesday to check on Pakistani nationals injured in recent Houthi attacks and to assess their medical condition.
Rabbani visited Bish General Hospital, Sabya Hospital and King Fahd Hospital, where he met Pakistani nationals receiving treatment and enquired about their health and recovery.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah, the visit was undertaken in line with the Prime Minister’s policy of ensuring the welfare and protection of Pakistanis living abroad and on the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
The Consul General expressed satisfaction over the improving condition of the affected Pakistani nationals, saying that all those injured were recovering and that their health was reported to be improving.
He assured the injured citizens that the Pakistan Consulate would provide them with full consular support and assistance and would continue to monitor their welfare during their recovery.
The Consulate’s team also met the administrations of the hospitals treating the injured Pakistanis. The delegation conveyed its appreciation for the professional medical care and attention being provided to the patients.
The Pakistan Consulate further expressed its gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia and the relevant medical authorities for providing high-quality healthcare and advanced medical treatment to the injured Pakistani nationals.
Security and Diplomatic Context
The visit comes against the backdrop of continuing regional security tensions linked to the conflict in Yemen and the threat posed by Houthi attacks to Saudi territory and civilian infrastructure.
