Islamabad: The District Health Office Islamabad has clarified that there is no evidence linking recent reported deaths to the consumption of juice, urging the public to refrain from spreading or believing unverified information circulating on social media.
In an official statement, the District Health Office Islamabad said that a joint investigation was conducted in coordination with the Directorate of Health Services Islamabad and the district administration to examine the incidents in detail.
Findings of the Investigation
According to preliminary findings, medical records and patient histories obtained from relevant hospitals do not support claims that contaminated juice caused the deaths.
One patient had pre-existing symptoms, including chest pain and vomiting, before consuming juice.
Another case showed no history of juice consumption.
In other reported instances, patients experienced symptoms such as vomiting and chest pain, but no clear evidence of harmful juice intake was found.
Market Inspections Yield No Evidence
Authorities also approached affected families to identify specific shops linked to the alleged cases; however, no locations could be confirmed. As a precaution, the Islamabad Food Authority conducted inspections in local markets but found no evidence of substandard or hazardous juice products.
