National Strategic Command Commander General Amir Raza receives Nishan-e-Imtiaz

ISLAMABAD :President Asif Ali Zardari has conferred the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) on Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Amir Raza at a ceremony in Islamabad.

The award was presented to General Syed Amir Raza by President Zardari in recognition of his services. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and senior military and government officials.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, as well as the Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Naval Staff, were also present at the ceremony.

Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar attended the event along with other senior officials.

Federal ministers Attaullah Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal and Muhammad Aurangzeb were among those who participated in the ceremony.

The Nishan-e-Imtiaz is one of Pakistan’s highest civilian and military awards, conferred for distinguished services to the country.
