Maryam Bugti emerges as an inspiring example for Balochistan’s women in Civil Service

ISLAMABAD – UNS : Maryam Bugti, who comes from one of Balochistan’s most prominent and influential political families, has carved out her own professional path by choosing public service and diplomacy as a career.

She is the granddaughter of the late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti of Dera Bugti, a prominent political figure in Balochistan. Despite her family’s strong political background, Maryam Bugti opted to pursue a career in the civil service.

She achieved notable success in Pakistan’s highly competitive Central Superior Services (CSS) examination, securing third position in Balochistan.

Holding a Master’s degree in Political Science, Maryam Bugti is currently serving as a diplomat with Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During her career, she has held various important assignments, including serving as a Director at the Foreign Office.

Her academic achievements and professional journey have made her an inspiring example for women in Balochistan, particularly those aspiring to pursue higher education, join the civil services and contribute to Pakistan through public service and diplomacy.
