ISLAMABAD -UNS : Shifa International Hospitals has achieved a major milestone in Pakistan’s healthcare sector, securing multiple Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditations and certifications across its healthcare network, reinforcing its commitment to patient safety, quality and internationally recognised standards of care.
At the centre of the achievement is Shifa Enterprise’s JCI Enterprise Accreditation, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to maintaining consistent global standards of clinical quality and patient safety across its healthcare ecosystem.
In a landmark development, Shifa Ambulance Service (SAS) has become Pakistan’s first ambulance service to receive JCI Medical Transport Accreditation.
The recognition marks a significant advancement for emergency medical services and pre-hospital care in the country, highlighting the importance of safety, coordination and professional standards from the earliest stages of a patient’s healthcare journey.
The latest achievements follow Shifa International Hospital’s Academic Medical Centre accreditation, secured in June 2026. Shifa’s home healthcare company, eShifa, has also been recommended for JCI Home Care Accreditation following a rigorous assessment.
In addition, Shifa’s Acute Ischemic Stroke and Acute Coronary Syndrome programmes received JCI certifications in June, recognising their evidence-based and patient-centred approaches to complex, time-sensitive medical conditions.
