ISLAMABAD, June 24: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday received a telephone call from His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Tabuk Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the warm and cordial conversation, His Royal Highness congratulated the Prime Minister on Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic efforts that culminated in the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran. He described the development as a significant contribution towards promoting regional peace, stability and dialogue.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Prince Fahd bin Sultan for his gracious sentiments and reaffirmed that Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives are guided by its unwavering commitment to fostering peace, dialogue and regional harmony.
He underscored that these efforts have been strengthened by the support and cooperation of brotherly countries, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Recalling the historic, deep-rooted and fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister expressed profound gratitude to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his enduring affection, visionary leadership and steadfast support for Pakistan.
The Prime Minister also extended a cordial invitation to His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, expressing confidence that such exchanges would further enhance bilateral cooperation and people-to-people ties.
The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and agreed to enhance cooperation across diverse fields of mutual interest, including trade, investment, regional security and economic development.
