CDF reaffirms Army’s readiness, witnesses High-Tech Military Exercise in Bahawalpur

Rawalpind -UNS: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, on Thursday reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all threats.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief made these remarks during his visit to Bahawalpur Garrison, where he was briefed on key operational, training and administrative matters, with special focus on preparedness for multi-domain warfare.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir observed the high-intensity field exercise “Steadfast Resolve” at Khairpur Tamewali. The exercise showcased the integration of modern and emerging technologies, including unmanned aerial systems, advanced surveillance tools, electronic warfare capabilities and modern command-and-control systems, reflecting the armed forces’ transition towards technology-driven multi-domain operations.
Addressing officers and troops, the COAS praised their high morale, professionalism and operational readiness. He stressed the need to maintain peak preparedness to effectively respond to future security and battlefield challenges.
He noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces are undergoing a major transformation across multiple domains due to rapid technological advancements, adding that future conflicts will increasingly depend on technological manoeuvres rather than conventional physical movements.
The army chief further said that innovation, indigenisation and adaptation remain central to this transformation, as the armed forces continue to adopt modern technologies.
Earlier, Field Marshal Munir inaugurated the ROHI E-Skills Learning Hub (STP) to promote digital skills and expand educational opportunities for students, particularly from southern Punjab and other regions. He also inaugurated the APS Abbasia Campus, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s commitment to quality education and character building.
