MUZAFFARABAD -UNS : Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasized the need for responsible political discourse, stating that criticism directed at the Pakistan Army should not cross acceptable limits and urging political leaders to exercise caution in their public statements.
Addressing PPP office-bearers and party ticket holders in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Bilawal said that law enforcement agencies must carry out investigations strictly in accordance with the law and legal procedures. He revealed that he had discussed related proposals with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
The PPP chairman stressed that constitutional amendments should be achieved through dialogue, consensus, and democratic processes rather than through force or protest sit-ins. He reiterated his party’s commitment to political engagement and constructive debate on national issues.
Speaking on Kashmir, Bilawal maintained that the future of the region should be determined by the Kashmiri people themselves. He also expressed support for greater representation of Kashmiri refugees in parliament and called for addressing the concerns and rights of Kashmiris within Azad Kashmir.
He emphasized that promises made to the people of Kashmir should be honoured and fulfilled, adding that sustainable progress can only be achieved by protecting the interests and livelihoods of citizens.
Bilawal also criticized his political opponents, arguing that development and prosperity cannot be achieved by depriving people of economic opportunities, and called for policies focused on public welfare and inclusive growth.
