ISLAMABAD -UNS: Member National Assembly Isphanyar Bhandara has been appointed as a member of the AIronvisory Council of Pathfinder Group’s Interfaith Harmony Initiative (PIHI),on Monday. PIHI is a platform dedicated to promoting dialogue, respect, and cooperation among Pakistan’s diverse religious communities.
At the inaugural session of the Advisory Council meeting, Bhandara not only reaffirmed that Pakistan’s Constitution secures minority rights, but stressed that the real challenge is enforcing those protections.
He pointed out that most injustice happens not in policy-rooms, but in everyday life at the grassroots, which is why public awareness and education are essential.
He also presented to Ikram Sehgal, Co-Chairman of Pathfinder Group, books commissioned by him, among which were Gems and Jewels: The Religions of Pakistan and Kalasha: Their Life & Tradition. Mr. Sehgal remarked that these works will serve as reference books for PIHI, helping guide its future programmes and outreach.
