ISLAMABAD -UNS : On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Yousuf Sharifzoda has been awarded the “Khizmati Shoista” (Distinguished Service) Medal in recognition of his valuable diplomatic services and contribution to strengthening relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
The prestigious honour was conferred under a decree issued by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, acknowledging Ambassador Sharifzoda’s efforts to promote bilateral relations and advance Tajikistan’s diplomatic interests.
Ambassador Sharifzoda has played an important role in strengthening the longstanding friendship between Tajikistan and Pakistan. During his diplomatic assignment in Islamabad, he has actively worked to expand cooperation in political, economic, trade, cultural and people-to-people spheres.
Known as an active and engaged diplomat, Ambassador Sharifzoda has maintained close interaction with Pakistani government institutions, the diplomatic community, business circles, media and other stakeholders to further deepen bilateral cooperation.
His diplomatic services and efforts to bring the two countries closer have also been widely appreciated in Pakistan.
