BEIJING –-UNS:The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing organized a “Chancery Showcase & Tree Plantation Ceremony” as part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
The event was held in collaboration with the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group, and WTL Design, and took place at the Embassy’s Chancery building. It featured live musical performances, a video presentation highlighting the renovation of the chancery, and a joint tree plantation activity.
Ambassador Khalil Hashmi welcomed distinguished guests and highlighted the symbolic importance of the occasion, noting that the renovation of the chancery and the tree plantation represent renewal, continuity, and confidence in the future. He said these elements reflect the enduring Pakistan-China relationship, which has remained strong, evolving, and forward-looking over the past 75 years.
He added that the renovated chancery is not only a physical upgrade but also an integration of Pakistan’s cultural heritage with modern design, serving as a platform for cultural expression and diplomatic engagement. The tree plantation, he said, symbolizes sustainable growth, environmental responsibility, and a shared commitment to future generations.
The ambassador appreciated the efforts of Embassy officials and partner organizations, including the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group, and WTL Design, for their contribution to the project and support for cultural and public diplomacy initiatives.
