HARIPUR/SIRIKOT –UNS: A colorful and graceful marriage ceremony cum valima reception of Ex-Chief Minister KPK,Senator (r)Pir Sabir Shahs’ son Muhammad Mehmood Shah was held in native village Sirikot,district Haripur on Saturday.
It was a huge gathering of political leaders,hosts’ family members, friends, relatives, people from different walks of life and notables from the area,different parts of KPK ,federal capital Islamabad and Hazara Division.
A sumptuous ‘Valima’ lunch was hosted for the guests, which included various types of traditional and non-traditional types of foods. Traditional and local Pakistani cultural values were reflected in the function. Special attention was paid to traditional and local values in the Valima reception, in which all requirements of the hospitality were fulfilled with dignity and grace.
Mehmood Shah’s wedding celebrations lasted for a week in which thousands of people participated from the area.In the wedding ceremonies, traditional hospitality,local traditions and food were given priority.
Representatives of different schools of thought, political parties,civil society figures,and bureaucracy were also present on the occasion.
A delegation of representatives of the followers of Pir Ahmad Shah,Pir Tayyab Shah,Pir Tahir Shah,Pir Sabir Shah from friendly country Bangladesh also participated in the wedding ceremony.
