RAWALPINDI ASI Nadeem Sethi, the hero of dozens of battles against criminals by the Rawalpindi Police, has been made an example by the superior officers of his own department for not doing illegal work. The officer, who received several certificates and shields for gallantry, suffered severe depression.
According to the ASI’s victim’s family, an existing SP of the Rawalpindi Police Department has allegedly decided to bury Nadeem Sethi alive due to a personal grudge.
In the recorded statements of suspended ASI Nadeem Sethi, his wife and others, they have stated that “the said SP is allegedly supporting the criminal elements. Earlier, ASI Nadeem Sethi was suspended for the action against some dacoities, while later the police department took keen interest in their domestic dispute and registered an FIR against Nadeem Sethi and his son”.
According to the victim’s family, “The biggest example of SP Babar Joya’s vindictive action is that only Nadeem Sethi was targeted by the department in a domestic dispute while his petitions were trashed”. It should be noted that the department has also received applications from Nadeem Sethi’s mother against him, but in a video statement, his mother is narrating that these applications were not given by her but were written by someone else on her behalf. In this whole story, some journalists helping the criminal elements in Rawalpindi also played a role and left no stone unturned to smear the character of ASI Nadeem Sethi.
The said ASI was also alleged to be intoxicated with ice and alcohol, but when the department inquired into the allegation and medical reports were obtained, this was also proved to be false. The victim’s family has strongly appealed to IG Punjab, RPO and CPO Rawalpindi to conduct a clear and transparent inquiry into this whole situation and bring us justice by taking strict action against the involved officers and personnel.
They also demanded that the Rawalpindi police should wipe out those black sheeps who are engaged in supporting dacoits and other criminal elements in police uniform. In this regard, SP Joya was contacted several times to get a version, but he did not answer the phone.
