Security Alert Issued for Islamabad and Rawalpindi Amid Threat of Possible Attacks

Islamabad-UNS: Security agencies have issued a high alert in Islamabad and Rawalpindi following intelligence reports indicating the possibility of attacks by militant sleeper cells within the next 48 hours.
According to the advisory, the Taliban regime is reportedly increasing pressure on militant groups including BLA and TTP sleeper cells operating inside Pakistan to carry out attacks targeting security forces or high-profile locations.
Authorities have placed several areas in Islamabad on high alert. These include Faisal Mosque, Centaurus Mall, PIMS Hospital, H-8 Bazaar (Itwar Bazaar), G-6 Bazaar, major mosques during Taraveh and Friday prayers, Aabpara Market, shopping malls, and other crowded public places.
In Rawalpindi, security has been heightened in Saddar, Raja Bazaar, Sadiqabad Bazaar, Dubai Plaza, Moti Bazaar, and other densely populated areas.
Law enforcement agencies have increased surveillance and security deployment in these locations to prevent any untoward incidents. Citizens have been advised to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary visits to crowded places, and immediately report any suspicious activity to authorities.
Officials urged the public to cooperate with security agencies and follow safety guidelines during the next two days as precautionary measures remain in place.
