ISLAMABAD -UNS: The government has once again increased petroleum product prices, placing an additional financial burden on people already struggling with soaring inflation.
The price of petrol has been increased by Rs5.58 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs364.35 per litre. Similarly, high-speed diesel has become costlier by Rs4.18 per litre, with its new price fixed at Rs386 per litre.
The increase is expected to raise transport fares and push up the prices of food and other essential commodities.
Citizens say repeated fuel price hikes have severely affected household budgets, making it increasingly difficult for low- and middle-income families to meet their basic needs.
The public has urged the government to withdraw the latest increase and provide immediate relief from the growing cost-of-living crisis.
