Nepra Raises Electricity Tariff by Rs1.11 per Unit Under August Fuel Adjustment

ISLAMABAD-UNS :The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has increased electricity prices by Rs1.11 per unit under the August fuel price adjustment, according to a notification issued on Thursday.

The increase will affect electricity consumers across the country, including customers of K-Electric. The additional charges will be recovered through electricity bills issued in October.

According to Nepra, the adjustment is expected to impose an additional financial burden of approximately Rs19 billion on electricity consumers nationwide.

However, the regulator clarified that lifeline consumers will be exempt from the Rs1.11 per unit increase.
