MANSEHRA -UNS : A three-day international conference on “Emerging Trends in Bioinformatics and Biosciences” concluded at Hazara University, bringing together researchers and scholars from the United Kingdom, Türkiye, Japan and universities across Pakistan.
The conference aimed to introduce students and researchers to recent advances in bioinformatics and biosciences, while encouraging collaboration and practical applications of scientific research.
Participants attended technical sessions, workshops and presentations of research papers. Speakers discussed opportunities for future international research partnerships.
Hazara University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan said combining the expertise of educated professionals with artificial intelligence could produce valuable results.
He urged academics to look beyond research impact factors and develop solutions to scientific and social challenges that support public welfare and national development.
Chief guest Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan, Vice Chancellor of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, said the conference had opened opportunities for students to pursue joint projects with institutions in Pakistan and abroad.
It also allowed researchers to learn directly from experts and explore current tools and methods, he said. He congratulated Hazara University on organising the event.
Dr. Faisal Nawroz, chairman of the Bioinformatics Department, said the conference was designed to familiarise students and scholars with modern research methods, data analysis and artificial intelligence.
MNA Prince Muhammad Gustasp Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Shah, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Inam and Prof. Dr. Wajid ur Rehman were among the attendees.
