Federal Housing Minister orders immediate action on G-13, G-14 problems, sets deadline for Water Supply Project

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, has assured residents of Sectors G-13 and G-14 that water-related issues will be resolved on a priority basis, emphasizing that no delays from the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Capital Development Authority (CDA), or any other concerned department will be tolerated.

The minister made these remarks during a meeting with representatives of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Twin Sectors G-13 and G-14 at his office on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on addressing several long-standing civic and infrastructure issues affecting residents of the area.

During the meeting Iftikhar Shah Mashwani, presented a detailed overview of key challenges faced by the community in FGEHA Sectors G-13/14. These included the shortage of water,completion of the Shah Allah Ditta water supply pipeline, construction of cricket, football,hockey playgrounds and parks for women,children and youngsters, removal of encroachments in G-13/14 markets, control of the growing stray dogs, law and order concerns, and the overall security situation.

The Federal Minister listened to the concerns attentively and, following detailed discussions, directed the Secretary Housing and the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) to take immediate action and ensure priority resolution of the issues highlighted by the residents.

He specifically instructed the concerned authorities to expedite the completion of the pending water supply pipeline project and address all other civic and administrative matters without delay.

The minister also directed the relevant departments to submit progress reports on the implementation of his instructions and provided a timeline for the completion of the water supply project for both sectors.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing housing and essential civic facilities, Mr. Pirzada stated that efforts are being made to ensure better living conditions for citizens.

The Residents Welfare Association expressed gratitude to the Federal Minister for taking personal interest in the problems faced by residents and for issuing immediate directives to the relevant authorities.

Residents of the twin sectors voiced optimism that the minister’s intervention would accelerate the resolution of long-pending issues and bring meaningful relief to the community.
