ISLAMABAD-UNS: The United States has appointed Catherine Connell as the new Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan.
U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker welcomed Connell to her new role, highlighting her extensive diplomatic experience and familiarity with Pakistan.
Connell has previously served in Karachi and Lahore, giving her a strong understanding of the country’s political, social and regional dynamics.
Working alongside Chargé d’Affaires Baker, Connell is expected to play an important role in further strengthening and advancing the growing U.S.-Pakistan relationship.
