Islamabad – UNS-: Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Awn Muhammad Chaudhry, visited the Workers Welfare Fund Secretariat in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Zulfiqar Ahmed, along with senior officers, warmly received the Minister of State upon his arrival.
During the visit, the Minister of State was given a detailed briefing on the administrative affairs of the Workers Welfare Fund, ongoing welfare projects, and various welfare facilities being provided to industrial workers and their families.
Muhammad Awn Chaudhry congratulated Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Zulfiqar Ahmed, and his entire team on collecting record revenue in the history of the country and appreciated the overall performance of the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State said that, as a result of the present government’s worker-friendly policies and the special efforts of Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Workers Welfare Fund is actively engaged in providing maximum possible welfare facilities to industrial workers and their families.
He said that the government is taking practical measures to improve the quality of life of the working class by ensuring their welfare, providing quality education to their children, offering residential facilities, and undertaking other welfare initiatives.
He further said that the adoption of a cashless policy by the Workers Welfare Fund is also an exemplary initiative, which has not only promoted transparency and merit but has also made the process of providing welfare facilities to workers and their families easier, safer, and more effective.
Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Zulfiqar Ahmed, thanked the Minister of State for his visit and said that the Workers Welfare Fund is committed to performing its responsibilities for the welfare and well-being of workers and their families in an even more effective manner.
