LAHORE: Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) continued its nationwide Independence Day celebrations for the third consecutive day under the slogan “Azadi ka paigham: La ilaha illallah, Muhammad ur Rasulullah ka nizam.” Azadi caravans, rallies, conferences and public activities were organized across the country.
In Lahore, PMML organized a flag-hoisting ceremony at Regal Chowk. Lahore President Engineer Adil Khaliq, Chaudhry Hameed-ul-Hassan Gujjar and other party leaders and workers attended the ceremony.
The participants raised the national flag with patriotic enthusiasm and reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s sovereignty, stability, prosperity and national unity.
Meanwhile, the Pak-Kashmir Lawyers Forum (PKLF) organized a special Independence Day event in Lahore, which was attended by a large number of lawyers.
Speakers highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s independence, constitutional values, national unity and the rule of law.
In Faisalabad, Muslim Women League organized an Independence Day rally from Hilal-e-Ahmar Chowk to District Council Chowk, attended by a large number of women and children.
Participants carried national flags and raised patriotic slogans. Similar rallies were held by Muslim Women League in Gujrat, Nankana Sahib, Dunyapur and Chiniot, while an “Istehkaam e Pakistan Conference for Women” was held in Rahim Yar Khan.
In Gujranwala, citizens, students and youth participated in a one-kilometer-long national flag ceremony. PMML also organized an Independence Caravan in Islamabad from China Chowk to Centaurus Mall.
