Qiyam-ul-Lail concluded:Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer at Faisal Mosque at 07:30 am

Islamabad- UNS:The concluding ceremony of Qiyam-ul-Lail was held at Faisal Mosque under the joint arrangement of the Dawah Academy of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, drawing a large number of Mutakifeen, scholars, and residents of the twin cities.

In a spiritually significant development during the holy month, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, President and Acting Rector of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), also led Taraveeh prayers, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering religious engagement alongside academic excellence.

On the occasion, he prayed for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and extended his wishes for faithful across the globe during the holy month of Ramadan. He also prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity worldwide, and emphasized the need for collective efforts for the elimination of extremism and terrorism in the present global context.

During the final night, the recitation of the 30th Para in twenty Rak‘at of Taraveeh was led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General, Dawah Academy, IIUI.

Addressing the gathering, he acknowledged the support and collaboration of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, particularly appreciating the role of Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Secretary Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Deputy Secretary Nasir Aziz, and Director General Hafiz Abdul Quddus.

He stated that the series of Qiyam-ul-Lail, which commenced in the last Ashra of Ramadan, concluded in an organized manner, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting spiritual values.

On the occasion, Director General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hafiz Abdul Quddus, appreciated the longstanding cooperation between the Ministry and Dawah Academy in organizing such spiritual gatherings.

The ceremony was moderated by Dr. Qari Zia-ur-Rehman, Incharge Faisal Mosque Islamic Center. Special prayers were offered for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for Muslims facing hardships worldwide.

At the end of the ceremony, the Eid timings were announced.

The Dawah Academy of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), continuing its established tradition, will organize the Eid prayers congregation at Faisal Mosque which will be led by by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General, Dawah Academy, IIUI at 7:30 am after the announcement by the noon sighting committee.
