PM Shehbaz Calls for Restraint and Diplomacy Amid Rising Middle East Tensions

Islamabad- UNS : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged all parties involved in the recent Middle East tensions to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue, warning that continued violence could have serious humanitarian consequences.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the prime minister expressed deep concern over the latest escalation between Israel and Iran, saying the developments underscore the fragility of the current ceasefire and the risks associated with further conflict.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that prospects for peace in the region remain alive and called on all sides to act with wisdom and responsibility to prevent the situation from deteriorating further.

He said Pakistan is maintaining close diplomatic engagement with friendly and partner countries to support efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the crisis.

According to the prime minister, ongoing diplomatic contacts are focused on securing a sustainable settlement through negotiations rather than military confrontation.

The premier stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to lasting peace and stability, urging all stakeholders to give peace another opportunity.
