Pakistan,Kyrgyzstan brotherly countries sharing exemplary relations:Kyrgyz Envoy

Lahore- UNS : The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan, Kilichbek Sultan, has said that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan are two brotherly countries sharing exemplary relations of friendship and brotherhood, which will continue to grow stronger with time. He stated that there are vast opportunities for cooperation in Kyrgyzstan in various fields including education, arts, and trade, and the Pakistani business community should take full advantage of these opportunities.

He was addressing an intellectual session at the Kyrgyzstan Trade House as the chief guest on the topic “Progress in Friendly Relations Between the Two Countries Following the Recent Visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan.” The session was presided over by Dr. Shahid Hasan, President of the Kyrgyzstan Trade House.

Other speakers included Mehr Kashif Younis, Honorary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Pakistan and Chairman of the Kyrgyzstan Trade House; Professor Dr. Ashraf Nizami, Dr. Iftikhar Bukhari, Madam Svetlana, and Shahid Iqbal.

Earlier, Ambassador Kilichbek Sultan also visited the Kyrgyzstan Trade House, reviewed its various departments, and expressed his appreciation. The Ambassador said that he considers Pakistan as his own homeland and feels very happy to be here. He added that the objectives set by the President of Kyrgyzstan to strengthen bilateral relations and increase the volume of mutual trade between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan will be achieved with full commitment. He assured that efforts are being made to provide maximum facilities to the people of Pakistan.

The Ambassador further said that steps are also being taken to facilitate visa issuance, and if businesspeople wish to visit Kyrgyzstan, they will be provided full support.

Dr. Shahid Hasan thanked the distinguished guest for his visit and said that there are excellent opportunities between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in the fields of health, trade, investment, and tourism. He added that if visa facilitation is improved, trade can further expand. He proposed that a Kyrgyz Village should be established along with festivals showcasing Kyrgyz culture, fine arts, and cuisine, and that investors should be given maximum incentives.

Mehr Kashif Younis said that cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan can be enhanced in many sectors including education, culture, trade, and climate change. He noted that business groups, especially those from the pharmaceutical industry, are keen to trade with Kyrgyzstan, and there is a desire to increase bilateral trade beyond USD 10 million.

Professor Dr. Ashraf Nizami highlighted the strong bond of friendship between the peoples of both countries and said that the people of Pakistan have great affection for the people of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that people-to-people contacts must be ensured to further strengthen this relationship. He added that cooperation can be promoted in the fields of education and health.

Dr. Iftikhar Bukhari said that there should be an exchange of writers and cultural delegations between the two countries. He also highlighted the excellent trade opportunities between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. Madam Svetlana and Shahid Iqbal also addressed the gathering.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Shahid Hasan presented a shield to the distinguished guest. The ceremony was attended by intellectuals and notable participants including Dr. Musaddiq Hussain, Faisal Siddiqui, Ms. Nazneen, Shahid Comrade, Ghalib Bukhari, Muhammad Maqsood, and others.
