Islamabad -UNS :Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, has reaffirmed that enhancing arrangements for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims remains a top priority for the government.
The statement came during a meeting with the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain Khan, who called on the Minister in Islamabad today.
Pakistan’s Experience in Hajj Management
Highlighting Pakistan’s prominent role in the annual Hajj, Minister Yousuf said the country ranks second in the world in terms of the number of pilgrims.
He emphasized that Pakistan is ready to share its expertise in Hajj management with Bangladesh, noting that enhanced bilateral cooperation could further facilitate pilgrims from both countries.
Discussions on Religious Cooperation and Bilateral Ties
During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on Hajj arrangements and matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on promoting bilateral relations and exploring avenues of religious cooperation, particularly in improving services for pilgrims.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Religious Affairs Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chauhan and Joint Secretary Ahmed Nadeem Khan, who participated in the discussions on coordination and Hajj management strategies.
Minister Yousuf reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that pilgrims have safe, organized, and comfortable Hajj and Umrah experiences, underscoring the importance of continuous improvement in services and logistics.
