New Group Emerges in Kabul, Claims Armed Resistance Against Taliban

KABUL -UNS :Reports have emerged from Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, of a newly surfaced group calling itself the “Afghan Independence Front,” which claims it has launched armed resistance against the Taliban government.

In a video message circulated on social media, the group described itself as a movement committed to the struggle for “national sovereignty and freedom,” and asserted that it has organized cells in various parts of the country.

The video did not reveal the identity of the group’s leadership, and the spokesperson’s face was not clearly visible.

Observers say that based on the speaker’s accent and style of speech, the individual may be from northern regions of Afghanistan.

However, this assessment has not been officially confirmed, and the group’s claims have not been independently verified.
