Islamabad High Court Orders Adiala Jail to Decide Bushra Bibi Plea Within Two Days

Islamabad -UNS: The Islamabad High Court has instructed authorities at Adiala Jail to make a decision within two days on a petition filed on behalf of Bushra Bibi regarding access to her personal doctor and permission for family meeting.
The order was issued during a hearing conducted by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, who also summoned the jail superintendent to appear in court on May 6.
The petition was submitted by Bushra Bibi’s daughter, Mubashira. During proceedings, the court asked whether a formal request had already been sent to jail authorities. Her lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, confirmed that the application had been delivered both in person and via courier.
The lawyer further informed the court that Bushra Bibi had undergone surgery on the night of April 16–17. In response, Justice Tahir noted that the matter was already widely discussed on social media.
